Repair and reuse

One of my favorite tops was coming apart at the seams, literally! So I decided to have it repaired at the dry cleaner my husband uses.  It only cost $5 which is cheaper than a new top and its as good as new to me!

We have been accumulating wire hangers from our dry cleaning so I asked if we could return them.  The woman there was really excited about taking them back and explained to me that the price of hangers had recently gone up!

  1. I wish our dry cleaners would take back hangers. I gave non wire ones to the local charity shop but the wire ones ended up going to the tip. I hope somebody found a use for them there. On the other hand apart from my husband's suits and one or two coats we are practically dry cleaner free now. Even his tweed trousers can be washed in the cold wash in the machine and hung out to dry. Sadly I can't do the same for the Newfoundland and she has to go off to the hairdressers for a wash and trim this weekend before she boils in the sun!
